Curbside Life Opens for Gin Blossoms

Summer 2006: Curbside Life opened for the Gin Blossoms on July 22, 2006 at Clearwater Theater in West Dundee, IL. Curbside Life has been a mainstay act at Clearwater Theater since early 2005.

Curbside Life CD Featured in Sountrack for Independent Film

April 2006: Independent film company Chi-Town Films premiered their movie PERILOUS TIES which features several of the songs from Curbside Life’s CD “My Own Reality Show”. Additional songs were written by members of the band and used in the film. A Curbside Life music video, which was filmed by Chi-Town to compliment the movie, was shown on the night of the premier, April 10, 2006.

Curbside Life Releases Their Debut CD

April 2006: Curbside Life released their debut CD “My Own Reality Show” this month. The release coincides with the release of the independent film Perilous Ties which features many songs from the CD.

February 2006:Curbside Life filmed a video for their song FALL which is featured on their upcoming debut CD “My Own Reality Show”. The video was filmed as a compliment to the independent film PERILOUS TIES which was directed by Melissa Kosar and produced by Jeff Majerowicz. Music by Curbside Life is featured in the movie.

Curbside Life Plays 4th Annual Rockin For A Cure Event

January 2006: Curbside Life performed at the 4th annual Rockin For A Cure event which raises money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. Organizers of the Chicago area event have raised over $75,000 for the cause.

Curbside Life named a "Gold Artist" by Radio Indy

November 2005: Curbside Life was named a "Gold Artist" by Radio Indy. The organization screens thousands of songs by independent artists and names the best artists Radio Indy Gold Artists. Reviews are based on recording quality, songwriting quality, and musicianship.

Curbside Life's song "Fall" was singled out by #1 Best Selling author Augusten Burroughs when he was asked about the music he has on his iPod. Mr. Burroughs' memoir, RUNNING WITH SCISSORS, has been made into a movie which stars Annette Bening, Alec Baldwin, Gwyneth Paltrow & Joseph Cross as young Augusten. Chicago CUBS® & Old Style® Beer Promotion

July 15, 2005: Popular Chicago pub Hoghead McDunna’s hosted an Old Style Beer event in conjunction with a promotion at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Curbside Life promoted Old Style Beer sales during their performance that night at Hoghead McDunna’s, and their name was announced at the winning game against the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier that day. Several Old Style executives were in attendance.

Curbside Life on 95.1FM - WiiL Rock!

May 15, 2005: Curbside Life was featured on 95.1FM (WIIL ROCK) on Sunday, May 15, 2005. Hosted by Mindy Novotny (middays from 10am - 2pm), the show consisted of an on air interview and live performance. WIIL ROCK is a Milwaukee area radio station which is heard in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Curbside Life Named "Artist of the Month" by FOSTEX

January 2005: Curbside Life was named "Artist of the Month" on the Fostex Artist Portal Web site for January/February 2005. Fostex is a well known international manufacturer and distributor of recording equipment.

Curbside Life Has "Best Alternative Song" on GarageBand.com

December 2004: Curbside Life was singled out on GarageBand.com for the "Best Alternative Song" during the week of December 20, 2004. GarageBand.com has drawn together for its virtual community the largest and most respected group of music industry professionals ever to collaborate on the Internet. Sir George Martin, who discovered and produced the Beatles, chairs the company's Advisory Board.
